The STYREX, Fire Leo 3? is an exercise in modeling in a pre-set universe.

For those of you familiar with the legendar series of shooters known as Thunder Force, you may recognize some cues from the series. The STYREX was designed simply to indulge my desire to re-design the STYX, from Thunder Force 3, one of my favorite TF's ever, released on the Genesis back in 1992 or 3.

The STYREX combines elements from TF3, 4, and V, to give it it's unique but somewhat familiar appearance. I decided to incorporate actual blasters with my fighter design, much like the STYX from TF3 and RYNEX from TF4, and also given the arsenal of weapons on any ship from the TF series, I also decided to show where the consealed armaments are hidden away.

On the STYREX, there are: Twin blaster/Laser, Rear Rail gun, Nova, Hunter (ofcourse), and the Wave gun. Additionally I included the hardware in my design for the Thunder Sword, from the RYNEX.
